You and Them

You complain about losing a paycheck;
They have struggled to find living wage.
You grumble because your hair is a wreck;
They must bow low so as not to enrage.
You stop traffic to brandish your firearm,
Taking a stand against supposed wrongs.
They leave home, keeping an eye out for harm
From the ones pointing out where they belong.
You make demands for things you have not earned,
Stating that they are a part of your rights.
A fair and simple life is what is yearned
While you condemn them for making this fight.
Your privilege, they do not aim to shatter;
They just want their dreams to also matter.
