Across the sand, the walk is in our reach
Where we will leave society behind
To find a cove with our own private beach.
Though people may search, they will never find
Where the noise is drowned by the gentle waves,
And the seabirds will keep us company,
Telling tales of how the weather behaves,
And how nature provides them with plenty.
It’s here where we will take after their cue,
Losing count of moments that slipped away
Because when the days are finally through,
It is only now that is within play.
I’m glad we have wandered from the hotel
To a wonderful new place we can dwell.
