The Unavoidable Road

We’re always going back where we started from
No matter how much we fight against fate.
The whole of our parts is measured by some,
Only so there are more who can relate.
If we feel like we have been here before,
It’s because there is truth to that answer,
And when we leave through the same, exact door,
We will come back again just to make sure.
The road may surprise us with its winding,
Leading us to a new destination,
But when we reach the end, we’ll be finding,
We called ahead for the reservation.
Life does not give originality;
It just rehashes what we always see.
