The Fables of Our Lives

Please, I would like another glass of wine
For I am feeling the youth of the night.
After we have had a moment to dine,
We like to make an evening that’s light.
We raise our glasses in toast to Bacchus
So we can perform another story,
A tale from the past that is about us
In days we look back upon with glory.
This courage comes to us from the nectar
That we get squeezed from the fruit of the vine
That makes our memory travel afar
To a moment that we hold as divine.
Thank God, that we have rented this table
To rediscover our lost live’s fable.
